About Us
What is ACCS-VA?
ACCS-VA, the Association of Collegiate Computing Services of Virginia, is an organization designed to facilitate the sharing of a common interest in information technology and its implementation in the higher education environment of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
It is our belief that the sharing of information (good advice to follow, bad ideas to avoid, as well as tips and tricks) with our colleagues will help to improve the information technology landscape for ALL students throughout the Commonwealth. We strongly:
- Encourage and promote cooperation and communication among all higher education information technology service organizations within the Commonwealth of Virginia;
- Stimulate and encourage the development and dissemination of techniques, applications, software, procedures and documentation, excluding those protected by copyright;
- Foster education and professional growth of our members;
- Share our common professional interests, experiences, successes, and challenges; and
- Develop and promote standards of collegiate computing appropriate to the higher education environment.
Who Can Join ACCS-VA?
Membership is free and open to all colleagues from any institution of higher education in the Commonwealth of Virginia—it is not limited to technology professionals. Simply fill out the Membership Form to join us!
